The Program in C++ to Compute Quotient and Remainder is given below:
#include <iostream>
using namespace std;
int main() {
int dividend, divisor, quotient, remainder;
cout << "Enter dividend: ";
cin >> dividend;
cout << "Enter divisor: ";
cin >> divisor;
quotient = dividend / divisor;
remainder = dividend % divisor;
cout << "Quotient: " << quotient << endl;
cout << "Remainder: " << remainder << endl;
return 0;
}
Output:
Enter dividend: 5
Enter divisor: 6
Quotient: 0
Remainder: 5
Pro-Tips💡
In this program, we first declare four variables: two integers (dividend and divisor) to store the numbers input by the user, an integer quotient to store the quotient,
and an integer remainder to store the remainder of the division.
The program prompts the user to enter the dividend and divisor using the “cout” statement, and uses the “cin” statement to input the numbers.
Then we calculate the quotient by dividing the dividend by the divisor, and remainder by taking modulus of dividend with divisor.
Finally, the program uses the “cout” statement to output the quotient and remainder of the numbers to the console.
It is important to note that divisor should not be zero, otherwise it will result in a runtime error.
